La Institución Educativa Técnica Empresarial El Jardín forma personas desde el nivel preescolar hasta la media técnica articulada con el SENA, brindando una formación integral, garantizando la igualdad para una educación inclusiva, desde ámbitos de aprendizaje significativos, abiertos, activos y flexibles en competencias básicas, laborales y ciudadanas apoyando las capacidades individuales y colectivas en actividades culturales, ambientales, artísticas y deportivas, orientadas en la construcción de su proyecto de vida con principios y valores, siendo dinamizadores del cambio con un aprendizaje continuo.
Visión
En el año 2022 la Institución Educativa Técnica Empresarial El Jardín será reconocida como institución líder articulada con el SENA formadora de personas competentes, autónomas, creadoras, dinamizadoras, emprendedoras, conscientes de su compromiso social y laboral, hacia la construcción de niveles de convivencia pacífica, cuidado del medio ambiente, mejoramiento de la calidad de vida en la búsqueda del amor, la armonía, la paz y la felicidad.
Introduction
Institución Educativa Técnica Empresarial El Jardín is located in Ibague Tolima, specifically in El Jardín neighborhood. The claustrum is official and it has two particular approaches, technical and Enterprise, which it means there is alliance with SENA-TOLIMA and other institutions such as Universidad del Tolima, focused on businesses and technical teaching since high school. Besides, the institution has students from first, second and third strata. It is necessary to take into account the Practicum II was led during transition from virtual to face-to-face modelling, after the lockdowns because of Covid-19. Regarding the assigned grade, it is 8th level. The students are between 11-16 years old. There are almost forty students (almost, because recently there have been plenty of drop-outs). The key activity was led based upon the topics and parameters of DBA, Ministerio de Educación Nacional, specifically The Unit 1 about the environment Concern. Basically, the organized activity was successfully focused upon the Unit 1 and its topic. It was divided in Warming up, pre-reading, reading and reflection-session.

Second reading: Regional environment problems |
The second reading is exclusively focused on Colombia and its principal regional environmental problem, deforestation, taking into account the previous vocabulary matching activities. Once the students finish the reading, they are going to complete a section related to the mentioned area, the causes, problem, and the impact of the problem (where? Why? What? How?) |

Reflections
What did It serve?
First of all, diligence before challenging bureaucratic processes: Despite the delays and other businesses regarding bureaucracy, it was possible to manifest interest and having initiative, not only because of passing or not the practicum, but being integral and perseverant. It is a reality there is negligence at institutions, yet, it is not an excuse for not taking on responsibilities. The reading class was a positive experience for me. Students were quite willing to participate and the methodology was applied successfully. When I had the chance to interact with students that day, I forgot the bureaucratic delays. Simply, I was applying my practicum.
Interpersonal relationships and values: Being a teacher is not only a title or fulfilling a pensum, it is applying principles and values in an environment where there are people who do suffer and do feel as we, the apprentices, do. Moreover, being a teacher is establishing discipline and therefore, gaining respect. Also, being a teacher is being patient though most of the time a classroom becomes chaotic. And even, being a teacher means to be humble though there are titles or acknowledgements.
Sacrifices: Last March 18th, 2022 class was a particular challenge, recording the class. To fulfill this mission, the apprentice not only awaited professor Cedano to supervise him, but assured a plan B-so to express-. It means he contracted a person in order to record the reading session. Precisely, that recording had a price, and although it was not accurately what he expected, it was worth it. There is physical and digital evidence; there are testimonies: teacher Cruz and the 8th grade students are witnesses of my effort and my contribution to pedagogy. And personally, the apprentice achieved it.
What didn´t it serve?
Negligence: The apprentice is not intended to blame absolutely the school or the University, on the contrary, there is negligence that does come from institutions, yet, there is negligence that also comes from the apprentice. Personally, it was not simple for him to tramit all the demanded documents. However, at the end of the day, he could advance his mission. Effectively, it is necessary to advance the processes of bureaucracy. It is not only entering, it is to guarantee medical insurance and legal constancy that there are apprentices at an education institution. Precisely, it is not fair to make the apprentices wait a long time for their practicum. If they need the practicum, as any career, it is necessary to get advance documents.
Recording media problems: The March 18th reading class, the practicum student expected a better definition of recording. It is true the noisy environment and other circumstances did not help, but, at least on the digital evidence there is a constant of an entire class divided in the introduction, warm up, pre-reading and reading. Once the recording was ready it was frustrating for the apprentice to visualize a medium quality video, however the person whom he contracted could modify some options, although the sound of video kept a little bit irregular. Of course, that situation was worth it, in order to know if I could contract or not this or this person, and if it is or nor worth it to pay a quantity of money for a determined product. To sum up, for a next occasion of academic evidence, he is aware of paying another person for it.
Indiscipline in the classroom: A classroom has a varied group of people. There are students who are noble and kind and there is a group who tries to be annoying and to manifest negative attitudes in the classroom. Discipline and gaining respect is urgent. What the apprentice did was gaining respect and being kind at the same time and despite 8th grade tends to be chaotic, he could face it.
What can be done to improve?
Advancing in bureaucratic processes: it is necessary to go forth. Advancing in documents is gaining time.
Assuring technologic media: If there is no way that the professor is available, contracting a person is a pertinent idea. The important business is to hire a trustworthy service in order to have a good product.
Improving assertive communication: It is indispensable to have assertive communication in order to have good relationships with the institution teachers and the assigned group. Everybody is benefited when relations keep equilibrated.
Keeping on practicing values: Everybody is benefited when relationships keep equilibrated. Exercising discipline is not a synonym of being authoritarian, it is to contribute to students´ future.
